“WE ARE FUTURE GRiME”
These females aren’t just a HipHop/Grime artists but an inspiration to all who desire to be in the Music Industry.
“It’s like mission impossible to be heard as the media usually looks at success in other areas such as London. Most Birmingham MC’s are stereotyped as young teenage hoodlums. To be honest though I acted badman until my mother told me it would get me nowhere, I discovered that for myself as well. So I decided to stop hanging around with the ‘un-needed’ and got into the Grime game”. FRENZIK says.
They all proclaimed to RNG that they hold the status of future grime. RNG asked them what they meant by that: “
“I don’t really have much of an interest in anything else but my music that I'm producing.. Yeah I do listen to Rap, Pop & R’nB but Grime is easier for me to get into. I’m dedicated so much to Grime, I love it”, LOONEY stated.
DAZZLA mentioned,
“All my work I have put through has paid off, that doesn’t mean I’m chillin’, I still have to gain more fame by dedicating more time like. I do actually believe if I keep my positive mind towards music, the future will hold a lot of great stuff for me. Who knows, I might even get bigger than my girl Frenzy!”
( She Laughs).
As we know, CHLO has been signed with Grime Records for a year now , her first track being ‘What’s really Real?’ was platinum in 2weeks.
“I was noticeable. Myspace is bait for me, minor really. I had uploaded videos like every time I made beats or had a new freestyle on Youtube. I was getting so many views & comments on these sites. Ima’ say my bredrins were kind of jealous as we was all doing it but I guess I was just lucky. But yeah, Grime Records contacted me on my sidekick number and asked if I would like to share my tracks with other people. I was hype stah! I obviously said yes & here I am man. Grime Records has done alot for me still. My future hopefully shall be kriss”.
DAZZLA has her own clothing line.
“Sho Sho was chosen by my main breh ‘Menace’. ‘Sho’ meaning unique, I have hooked up with ‘Here iAm’ clothing producers and by this it will bring popularity to my company as they are one of the top producers in Birmingham. They are helping my status to grow & to represent a different side to me (not just jams). It is mostly worn where it was established. All Hoodies/Tees & Caps are in different colours, attracting all teenagers who like to colour co-ordinate. I’m hoping my advertisements will widely spread across the UK & possibly other countries”.
The ladies have been working together this year, collaborating to make their new album LYRICAL CONTENT which is coming out Feb09. Will it make big success…?
FRENZIK stated,
“I really do hope so. This album could help me go far & fame my name out even more as my aim is that – pure fame, and also to share my music with the world. But it’s not all about big recognition, I want all audiences to actually listen to my music and feel what I am trying to say”.
“My lyrics talk about my life & also share out advice. It’s like every track is a lesson to be taught to my listeners. I also make slow jams, my friends listen to slow jams all the time, it’s like whenever they feel emotional, slow jams makes them feel better, and most females are like that so I know that others love ‘em too!”. DAZZLA said.
CHLO’S advice to young artists out there who are not yet signed:
“Arr man, basically just to say that whatever you spit about make sure it comes from the heart. I hear most mc’s saying ‘iGot this, I’ll do this’ … PROVE IT THEN! Ain’t nobody got nothing until you are official Grime and in the business. But to all them true Realists; Make sure you do everything you possibly can to get noticed, being original will help. Have a positive attitude towards this Genre & represent it in a good way. Trust me, just because you think music is your life and your life only, it rah isn’t. A back-up plan is always needed so stay in school!
